At Delta School, we believe in holistic education that extends beyond the classroom. Our extra-mural program offers diverse opportunities for students to discover new interests, develop talents, and build lifelong skills.

Athletics

Coordinator: Mrs. Renate Jacobi
Teams: Blue, Yellow, and Red teams
Training Schedule:
Under-10s to Under-13s: Mondays & Thursdays
Under-7s to Under-9s: Thursdays
Location: DSW Sports Field
Disciplines:
Under-7s to Under-9s: 80m running, far jump, ball throwing, 8x80m relay
Under-10s to Over-13s: 80m & 100m running, 800m hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot-put, javelin, 4x100m relay
Season: Mainly during 2nd trimester
Competition Team Sports Physical Fitness
Success in activities not offered by the school will still be honored!

Art

Instructor: Mrs. Sabine Koepp
Participants: ~25 children from Grade 1 to Grade 4
Schedule: Mondays, 16:00 - 17:00
Location: Art Room
Activities: Drawing in various mediums, crafts with cardboard and paper, and other creative projects
Creativity Fine Motor Skills Self-Expression
Perfect for young artists to explore their creative side in a supportive environment.

Junior Choir ("Spatzenchor")

Director: Mrs. Angelika Mueller
Participants: Children from Grade 1 to Grade 3 (Max: 65)
Schedule: Wednesdays, 16:30 - 17:30
Location: Music Room
Description: For young children who enjoy singing. Focus on developing vocal skills, harmony, and musical appreciation.
Music Vocal Training Teamwork

School Choir

Director: Mrs. Angelika Mueller
Participants: Students from Grade 4 to Grade 7 (50-60 members)
History: Established for over 30 years
Performances: School functions, Bunter Abend, music sun downer, confirmations, weddings at Christus Kirche, Matric farewells at DOSW, church services at Stadtmission
Performance Community Advanced Skills
A long-standing tradition at Delta with performances both at school and in the community.

Recorder Lessons

Beginners: 3 groups of 5-6 students
Advanced: Groups of 2-7 students
Schedule:
Beginners: During the week in school
Advanced: Every weekday in school library
Ensemble: Once a week

Participants: Students from Grade 4 to Grade 7

Mountainbiking
