Established as Deutsche Schule Windhoek with 320 students and 13 teachers under Principal Siegfried Wagner. Our unique beginnings included an unexpected challenge - 90mm of rain flooded classrooms during the first week, creating unforgettable early memories.
Initial years saw students attending without uniforms while parents deliberated on school attire. Curriculum focused on German-language instruction, expanding to include English in Grade 2 and Afrikaans in Grade 5.
Transitioned to Delta School Windhoek after Namibian Independence, embracing bilingual education with German and English taught parallel to each other.
Today our primary school serves 646 students with three classes per grade (2 German, 1 English) up to Grade 5, integrated English-medium classes from Grade 6+, and German taught as mother tongue/foreign language.
